Kiulu White Water Rafting – Grade 1 & 2 Rapids
Kiulu White Water Rafting takes you through grade I and grade II rapids on the Kiulu river. The Kiulu river is a great river for beginners and covers up to 15km of white water. The entire excursion takes between 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete.
Kiulu White Water Rafting is relatively mild and is suitable for beginners or children above 5 years old. Kiulu Village is worth a trip just for its lovely rural scenes and the rafting makes this a fun day out in Sabah.
Itinerary For Kiulu White Water Rafting Day Trip
White Water rafting begins with a safety briefing conducted by professional river guide who will demonstrate rafting techniques and proper handling of rafting equipment before you set off on the river.
Light refreshments will be served while you are brief on rafting techniques and Do’s and Dont’s. Then enjoy the rafting while a BBQ lunch at the river side is prepare for you when you return.
The Day Excursion Starts:
0830: Meet at hotel lobby and transfer to Tamparuli District. Journey takes approximately 1 hour 15 mins.
1000: Arrive at starting point pukak. Short safety techniques and briefing will be conducted by the river guide.
1030: Starts Rafting for 1 hour 30 mins (depending on the water level) The furthest distance can go up to 15KM if the water level is high or 8KM if excursions at normal water level.
1200: Lunch will be served.
1400: Transfer back to your pick up point.
- Rafter must be physically fit
- Contact lenses are not advisable
- Do not bring jewellery on the trip
- Children below 5 years are not allowed to raft
- Participant must sign liability Release Form before the trip begins
- Change of clothes, Shorts and Shoes
- Sun lotion
- Waterproof camera
