3 Days 2 Nights Climb Mount Kinabalu Via Laban Rata
3D2N Climb Mount Kinabalu via Laban Rata is the ideal tour package for those who wish to experience and take in Mt Kinabalu to the fullest. Any visitor in a normal physical condition can make this climb without much trouble.
You get to acclimatize and spend a leisurely day at Kinabalu Park where there are trails you can hike. Take the opportunity to see the botanical diversity of the park.
3D2N Climb Mount Kinabalu Tour Package
Day 01: Arrival and Overnight at Kinabalu Park
Take a two hours drive along the mountainous countryside and witness the breath-taking sight of this majestic mountain of North Borneo, Sabah.
Kinabalu Park stands at 1,600m above sea-level is home to Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in Malaysia. It is botanist’s paradise, home to over a 1,500 species of orchids, 330 species of birds, 26 species of rhododendrons, fern, pitcher plants and many endemic species in an 752 sq km area.
Upon arrival at Kinabalu Park, you are free to leisurely stroll and enjoy the fresh cool air while enjoying the spectacular scenery. Overnight at Park Accommodation – Hill Lodge. Dinner is provided.
Day 02: Ascend To Laban Rata Resthouse
Register with Park Administration office for Summit Climb and meet the mountain guide. Ascend up to Laban Rata Resthouse at 10,500ft with packed lunch. Along the way, search for pitcher plants and wild orchids.
Spend the night at the Laban Rata Resthouse at 10,500ft level. Accommodations is six to a room, hostel style with communal bathroom and toilet.
Breakfast, Lunchbox, Dinner is provided for Day 2.
Day 03: Summit of Mount Kinabalu
Wake up call at 0200 hrs. At 0300hrs, the climb to the summit begins in order to be on time to witness the sunrise on Mount Kinabalu. This is a wonderful opportunity to take in and photograph the unique views on top of the mountain. It is truly breath-taking.
After a short stay on the summit, descend down the mountain to the Park Headquarters to collect your certificate. Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu at 1400hrs. Expected arrival in the city at 1600hours.
On Day 3, Breakfast and High-tea is provided.
